Fiftieth Anniversary Finale Reception.
On October 11th JIAA held a wrap up reception to mark the end of our year long anniversary celebration.

Bonnie Householder spoke to the membership present about all the efforts that went into the many activities held during the year and thanked all those who helped to make them successful.

Mary Stock presented a recap of the early history of JIAA and reiterated that the success of the year's activities were due to the many members who worked to insure that all went well. Mary also talked about the privilege it was for JIAA to be able to host the Menaboni exhibit in March. She discussed the 10 lithographs that were generously donated by Russ Clayton and were to be distributed by lottery to those who contributed to the JIAA Capital Campaign Fund.

Jones Hooks spoke and praised JIAA for the excellent exhibits and activities that were held not only during our anniversary year but also through out all the past years. He also said the JIAA was an integral part of the culture of the island and spoke of how often he hears good  comments regarding JIAA during his travels throughout the area.

Recently JIAA's Board set up a $25,000 Capital Fund and through our Capital Campaign, we had 130 members donate in excess of $10,000 dollars, and contributions are continuing to come in. With respect to our Capital Campaign, Bonnie Householder read a resolution to Jones Hooks that JIAA has set aside $35,000 to be used for capital improvements to Goodyear.  Mr. Hooks acknowledged and spoke of his appreciation for the many efforts that JIAA does as faithful stewards of Historic Goodyear Cottage.
